Съвременният Сизиф

Живеем в страната на абсурдите. При нас, българите, контрастите са все по-силно изразени не само по отношение на икономически и политически белези, а все по-често на чисто психологическо ниво. Често сме роби не толкова на средата, но действителните ни окови са страхът от неуспехите, неверието в собствените способности, депресиите и неврозите, родени от  вярването,  че сме подвластни на една определена кауза. Често загубваме чувството си за логичност и рационалност, обличайки социалната кожа на общността, поддавайки се на масовото промиване на мозъци. Но в основата на нашето съществуване е не друго, а абсолютният и предумишлен бунт срещу нормите, порядките,... срещу себе си.  За това се сетих за едно есе на всепризнатия френски писател Албер Камю.  Наскоро ми попадна „Митът за Сизиф‟ - интересни разсъждения върху човешкия живот с герой от древногръцката митология.

И българинът, според мен, е един съвременен Сизиф.  Всеки ден всеки от нас търкаля своята съдба по нанагорнището на живота, за да може метри преди върха, прокълнат,  трудът му да се изтъркаля обратно до изходна позиция.

Абсурдността на ситуацията се крие в това, че независимо отчаянието и обречеността на неуспех, ние продължаваме да се борим, противопоставяйки се на абсурдността на живота и дори започваме още по-силно да я ценим, подемайки  с още повече плам новия, също толкова обречен, опит да надделеем над нея.

Но във всичко това има малък лъч надежда. Самият Камю казва, че бунтът е единственият начин да се живее в един такъв свят и именно този бунт е важен сам по себе си. Защитаваните каузи, позиции, мнения са маловажни. Може би защото в основата си виждането му се състои в абстрактното понятие за целта, която осмисля живота ни.

Bulgarian magazines and Biograph

Hello, dear friends! Today, while practicing my written English skills, I’d like to talk to you about the magazines on Bulgarian market and especially about my favorite one – Biograph. The reason I’m picking up this subject is that I recently fell in love with that magazine, and I am so excited that there is absolutely no way not to share it :) There are many magazines on the Bulgarian paper market. Most of them are lifestyle magazines, for women, like Cosmopolitan, About the woman, Eva and others, featuring tips and tricks about men, make-up, weight-loss, cooking, etc.
There are also magazines for men, featuring mostly erotic pictures of beautiful girls, cars and everything else, which is considered masculine.
The magazines are ok, full of pictures, they often have something that is useful, they are fun, but… they are not the best thing you could read. I mean, I don’t expect them to write about science, but the contents of magazines today are so shallow, so consumer-oriented, that if you are a little bit more intelligent person, you might stop buying them at all.

That’s not the case with Biograph, definitely. I learned about the magazine from an interview of its marketing director – Svetlyo Kantardjiev, where he explained its contents. I bought the magazine next day, because I was fascinated with what he said. It didn’t seem that this magazine is in any other way like the others. Yes, there’s a lot of information from mixed areas, but that is it. It is not the normal tips&tricks information for idiots you are used to read, but something much more advanced.
I love the biographies of famous people, for instance. There are at least three in every issue of the magazine, telling the life stories of artists, musicians, politicians, etc. who in any way influenced a lot of people, and thus became important. All in all, Biograph magazine is a wonderful monthly gift for any more intelligent person, and as Kantardjiev said in his interview, you can always find something inside it, that is exactly for yourself, because the accent of the magazine is quality content for the refined taste.
